Ghana Mission
Ghana Mission
2008
Anidaso Health is a nonprofit group dedicated to helping with medical missions and supplies to the under served. We have completed our 4th mission in 3 years to Ghana this fall. Anidaso means hope in Twii , the main Ghanaian language. We went to Kwahu Government Hospital in Atibie, in the fall of 2008 and the springs of 2006 and 2007. we also visited several outlying communities and clinics.
2008 brought a group of eleven dedicated medical professionals including audiologists, nurses, an occupational therapist, an ophthalmologist an, a psychiatrist and two internists.from Indiana, Wisconsin and Ohio who volunteered their skills, time, and money during our third year for a successful mission. We visited the school for the deaf in Koforidua checking hearing and cleaning Ears. We also did ear cleaning, diabetic screening, and blood pressure screening at Kwahu hospital and in a small town near Lake Volta..
We sent a 20 foot container of medical supplies which was assembled through donations of the generous donations of the medical community and people of Northwest Indiana in conjunction with Children of Abraham.
Our work in Ghana is facilitated by Salormey Volunteers Group.
